scrap the girls-june challenge

i dont normally play along with scrap the girls as i very rarely have photos of just my daughter as she is normally with her brothers. but this month i decided to play along with just a photo of her and i. the challenge was to be inspired off their new banner so here is it.

lots of things inspired me about it.

satw and stuck?!-june challenges

jsut a quick post today.
i have combined 2 challenges so starting with the first one
here is their mood board

funnily enough everytime i looked at the board i just saw that bike.
our youngest son has just grown tall enough to be able to push the pedals all the way around and now thinks he is such a big kid going for bike rides.
unfortunately i had to cut my husbands head off the photo (lol) cos printing the photo smaller you just couldn't see the big smile on my sons face.

and the second challenge is from stuck?! sketches

off the page projects

i have been waiting to show you these gorgeous boxes for about 2 months now as the scraplets were part of the march release for a2zscraplets, and im so excited to be able to say our new addition to the family has finally arrived and i have completed all my baby keepsake boxes.

i must admit i dont think im very creative as i simply cant create without a sketch so even though these arent pages i have used some old and new cardabilitlies sketches.

i love these scraplets, they were just so easy to use. they are great for project life and although i dont do project life i love leaving alot of white space on my pages so small scraplets are just perfect for me.

i have used the months arrows
i put a little gesso on them and then have inked lightly over the top to give that textured effect.

ok ok so here are my baby keepsake boxes in age order of my babies.

if you can find time to enter in the challenge over at a2zsscraplets they have a gorgeous little prize pack and a guest blog post for the winner.

A2Zscraplets june challenge-set by me

i cant believe its the first of june already.
so many fantastic challenges from so many great scrapping sites go up on the first and i hope you get time to play along with a2zscraplets challenge too.
you are more than welcome to combine challenges just as long as you mention A2Zscraplets and link back to us, that would be appreciated.

so i have set you a new challenge to make an ....OFF THE PAGE PROJECT
i love making them and i have some very special ones to show you later on this month but firstly i would like to show you my diet journal.

im due to have my 5th baby anyday now (as im currently overdue) and as well as finding time to scrap the gorgeous scraplets debra makes to show to you lovely ladies, i also instruct at a gym so health and fitness are very important to me. this journal is to keep me on track with my eating and exercising to loose weight after i have bub. i have used a note book from the news agency and covered it in cardstock. i love using the ringbinding ones as its so easy to take it off and cover properly and then place it back onto the note book.
and a close up of doodlet 27

and here is what it looks like when you buy it
(i have cut it in half and you might remember i used the other half for a worry box for my daughter last year)

i applied it with gesso with my finger and the lightly inked over the top.
arranged some flowers, leaves and vines to it then topped it off with a little butterfly and a simple quote.

im a list maker so making another note book is note so strange for me.
here it is

with chipboard that is as affordable as a2zscraplets and a few left over papers these make great gifts for teachers at the end of the school year or for a friend.

so now its your turn....link your projects up on the blog for a chance to win a great little prize and feel free to share them on our facebook page too.
i will be back later in the month to show you some more off the page projects i have made.
bye for now
