scrap it with attitude-august

janice nicholls is on the design team for a facebook scrapbooking site called Scrap it with attitude.
now although im not on facebook i still love to play along with these challenges when i can find the time. so janice set the challenge of using chipboard. an extremely easy challenge for me seeing as i am on the design team for a chipboard manufacture, so i set myself an extra little challenge which was to make the chipboard the focal point besides the photo itself.

so i have used an a2zscraplets doodlets and cut out the middle of it to form a love heart so i could put the pic inside it. when i write notes to the kids i always make a big love heart and then put a little i up on the outside on the left hand side and then a little u on the bottom right hand side. so i made my title the same way. this page is very much back to basics for me which is what im finding my style to be and have allowed myself to be ok with that. simple clean and minimal!! LOL

here is my pic

and  a close up of the crackle paint that i have covered the chipboard with

123 challenge - august

with having a newborn baby, 4 other children, dt requirements and being on my own a fair bit as hubby is away with work im finding that im not doing too many challenges these days, more participating in challenge sites that are inspirational to me and i can see a page pop into my head when i see the "challenge"
so when i saw the 123 challenge for august i started straight away. it only takes me so long to put it up cos i have to actually find time to print off the photos and then take the photos of my page complete and blog it...lol.
here is the challenge

i have pulled out some photos i have of my as a child to see the comparrison to my children now so this photo was in my head. it is of myself when i was 2 and 2 months standing infront of my next door neighbours house. im in a baby pink striped onsie.
the page is fairly simple with a few little touches that i jsut love.
stiching, inking and a bit of thread and a doily behind the photo.
here is it
and a close up
