hello again,
as you know my aunty and i scrap together via sms and we love to see how the other intreprets the sketch or theme. so we thought it would be awesome to see how we went with using the same photo and decided to use the scrap around the world mood board for the challenge.
we also asked my aunty who lives in america to join in on our fun.
we wanted a photo that meant alot to each of us so we decided to do one of my great grandma.
she passed away 2 days before her 94th birthday in 1997
i dont have alot of memories of her as we lived away from her but i do remember the last time i saw her. i was wearing my 90210 jumper as we were visiting perth and we went to see her in the nursing home. she kept on calling me jaclyn and asking me about tennis. well jaclyn (jackie) is my elder sister and i danced. i was so sad that she didnt know me.
when we decided to do this page together i remembered that i had a birthday card from her when i was little and went to find it. i remember it had a green long armed wiggly montser on the front and it was for my 5th birthday. but i couldnt find it. i guess when i threw it out i didnt realise what i was throwing out and how precious those memories are. however i did find 3 handwritten letters to me. one dating back to 1989 just before my birthday. and another re-written by my grandma as my great grandma's writing was ineligable due to her being so sick in hospital. so after all i guess she did remember me.
i was inspired by the colours and antique looking style in the bottom right hand corner and i turned the sketch on its side, changed the banners to scrunching and the lines coming out of the photo was changed into my long title
